Job description: Community & Partnership Lead

1. Role summary

Build and grow GemCommunity into Asia-Pacific's largest community of ecommerce brand builders, and the partner network around it. Grow active membership; produce AI-made content and run webinars and in-person events; recruit and activate agencies, freelancers, influencers and content creators for co-marketing, content sharing and strategic partnerships across APAC.

2. Key responsibilities

1. Community: Grow GemCommunity: chapters, Telegram groups and the member home.
2. Community: Turn a new member into an active one in their first two weeks.
3. Community: Find the members who build, and make them our loudest voices.
4. Content & events: Tutorials and short videos made with AI, every week.
5. Content & events: Webinars twice a month, hosted in English.
6. Content & events: Workshops and buildathons in HCM City and Hanoi, then across APAC.
7. Partnerships: Agencies, freelancers, influencers and content creators.
8. Partnerships: Co-marketing, content sharing and joint events.
9. Partnerships: Strategic deals that put GemBoss inside their client work.

3. Requirements

1. You make content with AI every week: tutorials, short videos, voice-overs. Send us three.
2. You have run webinars or events that people came back to, online and in a room.
3. You lead. You've run a team or a volunteer crew, and people follow you without a title.
4. You're outgoing. Walking up to strangers at an event is the fun part.
5. Your spoken English is IELTS 7.0 or above, or equal. You will host in English.
6. You can work from our HCM City or Hanoi office, and travel across APAC several times a year.

Mandarin; Lived or worked abroad; Shopify or ecommerce; Grew a community past 1,000 members; Agency or partner work.

5. Key performance indicators

1. Members: 5,000 members by month 12 (Day 90: 800 members, 200 active; Month 12: 5,000 members, 1,250 active)
2. Content & events: 130 pieces and events in a year (Day 90: 24 tutorials · 6 webinars · 1 workshop; Month 12: 100 tutorials · 24 webinars · 6 in person, 2 outside Vietnam)
3. Partners: 50 active partners by month 12 (Day 90: 10 active partners; Month 12: 50 active · 12 co-marketing campaigns)
4. Paying stores from the community: Day 90 20, Month 12 150

6. Compensation and benefits

1. Base: 30 to 40 million VND a month. Gross, paid monthly, set by experience.
2. Quarterly bonus: Up to 15% of the quarter's base. Paid on the scoreboard: members 40%, content and events 30%, partners 30%.
3. Commission: Uncapped, recurring. 10% of what every store from the community pays in its first 12 months. 3% of what your partners' stores pay, for 24 months. Upgrades count too: when a customer moves up a plan after your event, you earn on the difference.
4. Equity: After your first year. Like every seat here.

7. Selection process

1. Send your work: A video you made with AI, an event you ran, and five lines on why this seat.
2. Talk to Chris: 30 minutes, in English, about what you built. Not your CV.
3. A paid trial: Host a 15-minute live workshop for our team and send one tutorial video. One week, paid.
4. Meet the team: In the office. An offer within 10 working days of your first message.
