In 2016 I started GemPages with one developer. Today more than 100,000 Shopify merchants build their pages on it. Ten years of watching them taught me one thing: the brands that last own their customer, their store and their story.

GemBoss is our next step. It's an AI that builds a whole store and keeps improving it, so a small team can run a brand like a big one.

Two things come next. Larger brands and enterprises are asking us for more than a page builder: managed storefronts, custom work, their own data. Serving them well is our next chapter, and it needs people who are at ease in their meeting rooms.

And Asia-Pacific. The region makes a large share of what the world buys, yet most of its sellers still rent their customers from marketplaces. I want GemBoss to be home to the largest community of ecommerce brand builders in APAC: founders, agencies, freelancers and creators learning from each other, online and in Ho Chi Minh City, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Shenzhen, Bangkok and Sydney.
